S3 2017

Scripps Student Symposium

About

Welcome to the 4th annual Scripps Student Symposium (S3)! Our sessions this year will be Onshore, Nearshore, Offshore.

The goal of S3 is to provide a platform for Scripps graduate students to present and discuss their research with colleagues from all curricular groups, to foster interdisciplinary collaboration amongst the student population, and to introduce the new first-years to the wide variety of research Scripps has to offer. The presentations should be designed to be understandable not just to specific fields, but to the broader Scripps community.

During this one-day conference, we'll have 3 oral sessions as well as poster sessions, breaks with refreshments, lunch, and a happy hour. There will be cash prizes for outstanding talks and posters, so consider presenting! The sessions are all designed to be interdisciplinary so they'll be of interest to everyone.

All students (undergraduate and graduate) and postdocs are encouraged to present a talk or poster. All members of the Scripps community are encouraged to attend.

Registration

Registration is open! All members of the SIO community can register here for the symposium. Make sure to register by September 6 at noon to guarantee your free food and coffee for the day of the symposium. More information on presenting can be found on the Presenter Information page.
